Our weekend - anniversary party, temple visit

Sent from my iPhoneWe went to our Shobha jasmine neighbor sanjana's grand parents 50th anniversary party. After that, we visited nanamma' cousin place to see him. Ended the day with newly built venkateswara temple visit in bellandur. We recited vishnu sahasra mama there. Few folks joined with us to recite as well.. It was nice going to temple along with our family..

A man purchased an Enfield Bullet 350cc .. so that he could take his girlfriend for long drives. But unfortunately, he was not able to talk to his girlfriend while riding on it because of the loud Bullet sound. He got fed up and sold his Bullet n bought Honda Activa.
He got married to his girlfriend and one year later ....

He bought an Enfield Bullet 500 cc.

Classes started and getting into rhythm now..

All the subject teachers have started the classes. 

Mathematics - Our class teacher Jacqueline teaches Maths - She taught us numerations.. 

SST (Social Studies) - We learnt "My country and its landscape".. - Manisha Madam is our SST teacher. This week, we have got three other teachers to fill in for Manisha Madam and taught EVS topics. We have learnt about seven sisters, six major physical divisions of india, SAARC. We also learnt about WHO. Major physical divisions are Himalayan mountains, Indo-Gangetic plains, Western and Eastern Ghats, Great Indian Desert, Islands, Peninsula Plateau. Seven Sisters are the states that are the north eastern in India viz Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh. 

EVS -  Science - We haven't started the science lessons yet..

English - Saru Madam is our english teacher. She addresses me saying that vishnu you know the rules are.. She revised the previous class lessons.. She asked about palindromes.. some of the cool palindromes are madam, level, race car, malayalam. We also learnt Semordnilap (close relative to palindromes). Some of the examples are desserts-stressed, gateman-nametag, Smart-Trams, live-evil, lived-devil; Anagrams - mix up the letters in a word to make another meaniful word - examples include teacher-cheater, listen-silent; 

French - I took french as my second language - learnt the alphabets, small basic words like bonjour (means good day)

Hindi - this would be a easy one for me as i studied hindi from LKG-Third grade

Chess - free play this week.. it was boring.. they will put the tables from next week..
Craft - we did some coloring..
We have got our stationery and art supplies. 

Our basket ball classes started at Orchids.. More kids joined the class and enjoying the same. In knockout, i beat Anshuman.. I have started playing badminton in front of our house. Daddy says that I am getting better at it and he will send me to classes once i show some more progress..

Creative Writing - Sunny Day

With the help and suggestions from my mom, wrote this short essay on Sunny Day.

Sunny Day

On a  sunny day it is very hot. One can see clear, blue or white clouds in the sky. One can feel warm wind flowing in the air. The ground feels warm hot and dry. We ses a lot of beautiful bright flowers on trees and plants around us, birds flying in the sky, animals running around or resting under the shaded of tree. You can also hear brids singing and see lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. On a sunny day I like to wear light and bright colour clothes, enjoy swimming in the pool keep myself hydrated by drinking lots of water and fresh fruit juices, enjoy eating ice-cream and ice-lolly and apply sunscreen whenever I go out.

My first day at school - 4th grade

I am very excited to go back to the school. Got prepared myself by getting up early in the morning. Wore new shirt, socks. This year we are going to carpool with the new neighbors at Orchids. Their names are Aastha & Aakash. My mom dropped all of us in the morning along with Aastha's mom Monika Aunty.

As soon as i entered the school, i was looking for my name in the notice board in the "A" section of the 4th grade. I couldn't find it. I searched again and again.. I was wondering there must be some mistake.. How can this happen? In the school portal, it was mentioned that I was in "A" section. I had started looking in the other sections.. Not found in sections B, C, D, ... Finally.. finally.. I found it in the last few names of the last section "J".. Thank God!! But, i was bit upset for getting into that section and started crying.. At that time, I didn't know why they had put me there.

Once the school started, I came to know that I was moved to the section "J" because I chose French as my second language. Then, I got relieved a bit.

There are 31 students in my class. Looks like, girls are more than boys in my class. I know two of them Vikasini & Advay. There were classmates in 2nd & 3rd Grades too. I met few boys Abhimanyu, Hari Sai and Soorya. They seem to be good and helpful kids. At the end of the day, Hari Sai called me "Fatso".. I called him "Thinno".. it was fun..

Today being the first day, they didn't teach new things. We just spend time getting to know other students in the class. We heard Principal speaking in the public speakers and addressed all of us welcoming for the new school year. He wished for a great school year. He also mentioned two kids from the school got nationwide 3rd rank 10th Grade.

Our class teacher is Jacklin Madaam. She was my akka's 4th grade math teacher. She asked me to help the new students who joined in our class.
